Today I saw some poetry
I captured what I could—not to keep it, but to share it.
Because perhaps, when you see these images,
you’ll see your own poetry too.
How to Create a Stunning Dispersion Effect in Your Compositions
I show you how to create an elegant dispersion effect in your digital compositions, inspired by a project I recently worked on.
The Story of Jack
So, this is Jack. Our story is kind of a funny one—it all started through the ex of my ex. She knew I had a real love for horses and thought Jack and I would be a great match. And as it turned out, Jack stayed in my life much longer than the person who introduced us.
Where to Get Coffee at Brussels Airport
Whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee before your flight, Brussels Airport has something for everyone. From the artisanal offerings at Le Pain Quotidien to the familiar comforts of Starbucks, each café has its unique vibe.
Still Life with Stories
"Still Life with Stories" speaks to how our lives are a collection of such moments—quiet, reflective pauses amidst the noise, where we seek sustenance not just in food but in understanding, contemplation, and connection with the world around us. Even in stillness, life continues to unfold its stories.
“I've realized humans aren't meant to be alone.”
As a treat to myself, I have written an article in the style format of one of my favorite websites the-talks.com for my 40th birthday, where I interview myself about turning 40. It is meant as a kind of time capsule for myself to read in the years and decades to come. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Nothing extraordinary but life itself
Taking a good look at his depictions, nothing really extraordinary happens but life itself. For the latest challenge of the Paard Verzameld Collective, we were to be inspired by the impressionist painter Claude Monet.
Discovering Agia Galini: a relaxing retreat
With only 4 kg of carry-on luggage, I set out on a short trip to a small touristic fisherman village in the south of Crete: Agia Galini, which means Saint Serenity. A promise to relax.
Final walk through TROOST
As the exhibition is wrapping up, I make a final walk through with dramatic music to remember this journey and make it accessible virtually.
The ones that are on your frequency
As I move closer again to the photographer and artist I am meant to be, I learned in this encounter with six horses, two were open to really connect and I was ready to feel and deepen that connection.
Vernissage: resonating metal and juxtaposing lines
From 28 January till 29 March 2024 Leo Jacobs and Eelke Van Willegen are on exposition at Art Forum, Antwerp.
Slow down in time
The colours were impressive, as was the sound of all the birds quacking, chirping whilst flying over, quarreling in the pond or saying goodnight.
