Nothing extraordinary but life itself

A new set of eyes picked this image. For the latest challenge of the equine art PaardVerzameld Collective, we were to be inspired by the impressionist painter Claude Monet.

Taking a good look at his depictions, I noticed nothing really extraordinary happens but life itself.

notes and thoughts about the concept and idea for this paard verzameld challenge.

I found this image of a resting foal (albeit he was lying there for only two minutes) to be particularly suited to fit in this mindset.

Taking into account his colour palette and lighting, my editing decisions led to this result.
I found it interesting to keep the mother in the frame, but I had to add details of her in as my original composition did not completely capture her.
