Where to Get Coffee at Brussels Airport

For many travelers, a good cup of coffee is a must. While Starbucks is the most internationally recognized brand, Brussels Airport offers several options to satisfy your caffeine cravings. So, where can you find the best coffee at our national skyhall?

Brussels Airport boasts a variety of coffee spots and breakfast bars, ensuring you won’t go thirsty or hungry. However, prices and ambiance can differ. If you're someone who appreciates good design (like me) and a savory croissant with your coffee, a few places stand out.

Top Coffee Spots at Brussels Airport

Here's a list of coffee shops I will discuss, located in the departure and arrival halls:

  1. Le Pain Quotidien

  2. Starbucks

  3. Panos

  4. Exki

  5. Belle & Belge

  6. JAVA Coffee House

1. Le Pain Quotidien

Le Pain Quotidien, a Belgian bakery chain with international locations, offers a cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for getting some work done. Their cappuccino is the most affordable here, but pastries like croissants come at a premium. If you're traveling as a couple, consider ordering their breakfast menu for better value. You’ll find Le Pain Quotidien on the left side of the departure hall as you enter the building.

2. Starbucks

No introduction needed—Starbucks is a global favorite. At Brussels Airport, it's strategically located near the analogue flight board, making it an ideal spot for people-watching while sipping your latte.

3. Panos

A Belgian staple, Panos is known for its delicious pastries, including the must-try double chocolate bun. Located on the right side of the skyhall, the interior here is entirely yellow, which makes for a bright, casual atmosphere. Panos is well-known in major railway stations across Belgium.

4. Exki

Exki offers healthy, sustainable food and drinks. Located next to Le Pain Quotidien, their coffee is just as good, and their buffet-style food is perfect for those who prefer healthier options. Exki is another Belgian chain with locations across Europe, including France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Spain.

5. Belle & Belge

If you're looking for a coffee just before passing bag check, Belle & Belge is the place to go. This café offers a great view of the tarmac, and you can easily check boarding times on the nearby screens. They serve a Belgian biscuit or chocolate with each coffee order, and their cappuccinos are extra foamy.

6. JAVA Coffee House

JAVA Coffee House is the only coffee spot in the arrival hall, located one floor below the departure area. This Belgian brand roasts its beans in-house using a slow roast process and is CO2-neutral. JAVA is widely recognized for its coffee, which you can also find in stores across Europe.

Final Thoughts

Whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee before your flight, Brussels Airport has something for everyone. From the artisanal offerings at Le Pain Quotidien to the familiar comforts of Starbucks, each café has its unique vibe. So next time you’re traveling through Brussels Airport, take a moment to enjoy your coffee and savor the experience. Safe travels!
