Overwhelming grief

I took a moment to decide whether I would photograph this. The grief that rushed over me made me pull out my phone.

It has been eight years since the terrorist attacks in Brussels Airport and Maelbeek and a lot of people already forget. I still remember hearing and watching the news and being devastated by it. For me personally, the airport is a gateway to freedom that had been attacked. For many others, a lot more was attacked and taken away.

Growing older I understand the better why we should not forget.
