How it all started.
I have always loved dogs. My favourite childhood movies were All dogs go to heaven and Bingo. And of course Beethoven. Professionally photographing dogs, I learned a lot from volunteering for Diary of a Shelterdog. The dogs were rarely trained and lived in a stressful environment. Instead of pulling tricks, I really learned to see personality and communication through their ears, nose and posture. I began to focus on having a relaxed dog in front of the camera. Those images speak the loudest. Below you will find images of dogs that spark joy for me and some memorable encounters, like Max, the Malinois that really stole my heart in all those years of photographing dogs.
